I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of São Paulo, with part of my doctoral research conducted at the University of Oregon. Most of my work focuses on how Amazonian forest-to-pasture conversion impacts soil microbes involved in methane cycling. I was a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton (as a Fung Global Fellow) and later at Stanford. Outside the lab, I enjoy music, art, books, swimming, good movies, Formula 1, and travel.
